Robert
Nolt served as a bi-vocational pastor of Staunton Mennonite
Church from January 1969- June 1981. He was in his senior year at
Eastern Mennonite College (now
University) when he was called to serve as pastor. As a Young People’s
Christian Association (YPCA) student, he was involved in the
congregation for three years prior to being called to serve as pastor.
Along with his pastoral work, he taught science at John
Lewis Junior High School in Staunton. During his pastorate at Staunton
he earned a Master of Education degree in administration and supervision
from the University of Virginia.
Following his tenure at Staunton he and his family
relocated to Illinois where he became the pastor of
Freeport Mennonite Church on August 1, 1982. He served there until
July 1994 when he became the pastor of Metamora Mennonite Church in
Metamora Illinois. In July 2001, Bob and his wife, Anna, moved to
Newton, KS so that he could work as the conference minister of the
South Central Mennonite
Conference. He continues to serve in the conference minister
position with an office in Hesston Kansas.
