We will be observing Communion today as a part of our worship service. Footwashing stations will be set up to accommodate those who wish to participate in this symbolic act of service after Sunday School and after the worship service.

SMC children have been invited to participate in Springdale Mennonite’s Bible School from June 14th to the 18th beginning at 6:30pm. See Kevin for details.

Our Community Place, a ministry of The Early Church in Harrisonburg, will be hosting the 6th annual Summer Lawn Jam on Saturday, June 27 from 12pm to sundown. Many volunteers are needed for the event. Mark your calendar for July 23 & 24 for the Virginia Mennonite Conference Assembly Worship Sessions, held at Eastern Mennonite High School. The theme is Jesus is Our Peace with David Shenk featured as worship speaker Thursday night. David is noted for his mission work and dialogue with Muslims.
