Next Sunday’s offering will be split evenly between Virginia Mennonite Conference and Virginia Mennonite Missions.

The play The Cotton Patch Gospel will be performed today at ShenanArts in Verona at 3:00. Tickets are available at the door.

The 8th annual Festival of Praise will be held today at 4 pm at Eastern Mennonite High School auditorium. Various groups will sing, and then join a mass chorus led by Jay Hartzler. The offering will benefit earthquake disaster relief in L’Aquila, Italy in cooperation with Swiss and Italian Mennonites, and supported by Virginia Mennonite Missions.

There will be a fellowship meal following the church service next Sunday in honor of Ronald and Mim Friesen. Please bring a covered dish to share with those in attendance.

There will be an evening of praise and an installation service for Beryl Jantzi as the next Southern District overseer on November 15, beginning at 6:00 pm at Springdale.

A Chuck Wagon Gang concert will be held November 15, 2:30 pm at Park View Mennonite, to benefit the VMRC Good Samaritan Annual Fund. Advance tickets are available at VMRC for $15.00. Tickets will also be available at the door for $17.00 (children admitted free)

  • Tyson Woody, a 2-year-old suffering from a brain tumor and on Hospice
  • Monica Barlow, suffering from stage four lung cancer
     

Hebrews 9:12, “He entered once for all into the Holy Place, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.”
