Our Community Place is hosting a benefit Christmas concert at Park View
Mennonite Church on Tuesday, Dec 8th. Come at 6:30pm for fine desserts and
hot drinks followed by great music at 7:30 including Trent Wagler,
Jonathan Reuel, and many others performing their Christmas favorites. The
cost of admission is up to you (donations appreciated).
The EMU Chamber Singers will present a free Christmas concert in the
Seminary chapel on Thursday, Dec 10th from 7:30-9:00.
There will be a Christmas Benefit concert for SACRA at Memorial Baptist
Church on Monday, Dec 14th beginning at 7:00. A free-will offering will be
taken.
The Staunton Mennonite Women’s Christmas Fondue Dinner has been
rescheduled for Wednesday, December 16th. Please RSVP with Kathy or Sonya
today.
There will be a community Carol Sing at the Gypsy Hill Park gazebo on
Saturday, the 19th beginning at 5 pm. Come and participate.
Sunday, December 20th will be the annual SMC Christmas Caroling and Soup
Dinner. We will plan to meet at the church at 4:00 and carpool to several
locations and return for a shared meal.
Prayer Concerns:
- The family of Betty Greenleaf (Norma’s sister-in-law) as they mourn
her recent passing.
- Tyson Woody, a 2-year-old suffering from a brain tumor and on
Hospice
- Skip and Carol Tobin as they work with church leaders in Southeast
Asia.
