A benefit concert presented by the Olivet Presbyterian Church and Staunton Church of the Brethren will be held at the Staunton Church of the Brethren on January 10th at 7:00. A free will offering will be taken for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

There will be a Financial Peace University held at the Cornerstone Church of Broadway. This is at 13-week course beginning on January 12th and will meet weekly at 6:30 pm. See Garlan for more information.

Save the date of March 20th as Mennonite Mutual Aid will hold a Stewardship University at Springdale Mennonite. Keynote speaker Myron Augsburger will speak on biblical approaches toward financial management. There will be various workshops on holistic stewardship practices for your home, community, and church.

Church Council will meet this Wednesday at 7:00 (Kathy, devotions).

We will be observing communion this Sunday. Please consider Paul's instructions in 1 Corinthians 11:28 to "examine yourself;" that is, your relationship with God and with your neighbors, as we seek to observe this act of remembering to the honor of our Lord and Savior.

• Malcolm Sykes as he struggles with various health issues.
• Mark, Sarah, and Heidi Schoenhals as they have arrived safely in Thailand
  and prepare to provide leadership at the Life Enrichment Church.
• Those who are without a warm place this winter.
