*We welcome Beryl and Margo Jantzi to our worship service today. Beryl is currently serving as the moderator of Virginia Mennonite Conference and as overseer for the Southern District.

We will be collecting monetary donations for Haiti relief, including Anje Cassel’s expenses, over the next couple of weeks. Please earmark donations appropriately. Also, there are lists of items needed for relief kits available at the front door. Please bring these items to the church and we will have the opportunity to assemble kits with the other churches of the Southern District in February.
~If our district can raise $15,000, MCC will bring a semi truck of materials for relief kits to be assembled in our district.

We will begin our Community Fellowship Meals for 2010 this Wednesday, the 3rd, at 6:00. Please bring games and friends. If you haven’t been asked to bring food, come and enjoy the night off cooking.

Lowell and Marlene will be hosting a Super Bowl party next Sunday at their home. Feel free to come around 6:00 and bring a snack to share. See either Lowell or Marlene for directions.

SMC will be holding a “Valentines Banquet” at the Buckhorn Inn on February 20th, beginning at 6 pm. The entertainment this year will be provided by Inner Harmony. More details to come.

• Anje Cassel and the medical relief team that she is serving with in Haiti over the next two weeks.
• The family of Norman Manuel, as they deal with challenging issues.
