Don’t be in a hurry to leave after church today! There are snacks in
the Fellowship Room, so grab a cup of coffee and get to know one another a
little better. We will continue this fellowship time through Lent.
There will be a Community Fellowship Meal here at Staunton Mennonite this
Wednesday. Anje Cassel will be sharing pictures and stories from her
recent trip to Haiti in the sanctuary beginning at 6:00. We will then
share in a time of food and fellowship following her presentation. See
Kathy for food ideas. The theme this month is a baked potato bar.
The Southern District will be sponsoring a time of worship, prayer, and
reflection led by the members of the three Medical Mission Teams sent by
Virginia Mennonite Missions. This event is scheduled for March 14th at
Lynside Mennonite beginning at 6:30 pm. An offering will be taken to help
cover the expenses of these recent trips.
New mailboxes have been added for Joe and Amina Shenk and Greg Sykes.
Congratulations to Ronald and Mim Friesen on the birth of their grandson,
Drew James. Drew, who is the son of Bradley and Beth, was born on the 24th
at noon. He weighed 7 lbs, 13 oz.
There will be a Stewardship University held at Waynesboro Mennonite on
March 20th from 8:30-11:30. There will be no cost for those attending from
our church, but advanced registration is required. Please see Glenn Zendt
with questions and for registration forms.
