.*Today’s offering will be divided equally between Virginia Mennonite
Missions and Virginia Mennonite Conference.
Church Council will meet this Wednesday at 7:30. Devotions c/o Nelson
Edith Shenk Kuhns and Rose Shenk will speak on “Grief and Grace, A Mother
and Daughter’s Journey” at the Family Life Resource Center’s annual
Fundraising dinner held at VMRC’S Hartman Dining Room at 6 pm Saturday,
May 22. Edith and her daughter Rose each lost their spouse in tragic
accidents that occurred within two weeks of each other in July of 2005.
The women’s music group Shekinah will also be a part of the program, and a
freewill offering will benefit the Center. Please register by calling
434-8450 (or services@flrc.org) by May 15.
The Valley Brethren-Mennonite Heritage Center will sponsor the “First
Annual Harmonia Sacra Singing” at Hildebrand Church on Sun., June 6, at
6:30 p.m. Bring your copy of Harmonia Sacra if you have one (extras will
be available), and help initiate a new and exciting tradition!

- The victims and relief workers in the Tennessee area dealing with flooding.
- Jim Echard and those providing care for him.
- Maxine Houser as she deals with various health concerns.
- Anna Mary Huyard as she recovers after having fluid drained from her chest.
Acts 16:10, “When he had seen the vision, we immediately tried to cross over to Macedonia, being convinced that God had called us to proclaim the good news to them.”
