The Women’s Care Group will meet this Wednesday at Kathy’s house
beginning at 7:00 pm.
This Saturday, June 23, is Highland Retreat’s annual Steak BBQ and
commissioning service. The service begins at 1:30p.m. followed by Zip
Line, swimming, and other activities starting at 3:00p.m.. The BBQ begins
at 5:00p.m. with live bluegrass music following the meal. Highland
provides steak, drink, and potatoes. Please bring a side salad or dessert,
and donation of any amount to support Highland Retreat. Free campsites and
A-frame cottages are still available to BBQ participants, contact the
office at (540) 852-3226 to reserve or for more information.
Anyone interested in helping to paint the meeting room for Weekday
Religious Education this summer should contact Kathy Zendt.
Recent shipments of relief kits to Syrian refugees in Jordan have depleted
the supply that Mennonite Central Committee keeps in reserve; please help
them restock to be able to act quickly in a crisis or disaster. To see how
to assemble relief kits please visit mcc.org/kits/relief. Also, your gifts
of money are urgently needed to respond to the crisis in the region, along
with your prayers for peace.
