There will be a Prayer Meeting this Wednesday at Staunton Mennonite
beginning at 7:30 pm.
Our annual Ice Cream Social will be held at Gypsy Hill Park on July 17th.
We will plan to meet around 6:00 pm. Please bring sandwiches and a side to
share. If you have an ice cream maker and are interested in making ice
cream, please see Kathy.
Our 2012 Penny Power donations will be split evenly between tornado relief
work in West Liberty, KY and Mennonite Central Committee’s ongoing relief
efforts in the Middle East countries of Syria and Lebanon.
Recent shipments of relief kits to Syrian refugees in Jordan have depleted
the supply that Mennonite Central Committee keeps in reserve; please help
them restock to be able to act quickly in a crisis or disaster. To see how
to assemble relief kits please visit mcc.org/kits/relief. Also, your gifts
of money are urgently needed to respond to the crisis in the region, along
with your prayers for peace.
