Staunton Mennonite Women will be going to the JMU Arboretum this afternoon. Those wishing to carpool can meet at the church at 2:00. Following our time at the arboretum we will plan to go to Klines for ice cream. Please let Sonya know if you will be coming and whether or not you will be meeting at the church to carpool.

Help is needed for the annual Apple Butter Boiling at Friendship Park on September 14th at any time throughout the day. Come and enjoy the fellowship and help support a great cause. The Apple Butter will be sold to benefit Mennonite Central Committee.

Calling all bicycle enthusiasts, small and tall! You are invited to the 16th annual Bike Shenandoah on Saturday, September 21 at Eastern Mennonite School in Harrisonburg, VA. Enjoy rides of 5, 15, 30, 62 or 100 miles in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. All proceeds benefit Virginia Mennonite Missions, MennoMedia, Mennonite Central Committee and Bridge of Hope. Individuals and congregations can also participate by sponsoring riders. Register online at bikeshenandoah.org.

All are invited to a service commissioning Clyde G. Kratz as VMC's Executive Conference Minister on September 15 at 4:00 pm. The service will be held in the sanctuary at Weavers Mennonite Church, 2501 Rawley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

Mennonite Central Committee School Kits are due by September 29th.
