God, source of all that is good,
Scripture reminds us that love of money is at the root of all
       kinds of evil.
Yet we are caught up in a world that is impaling itself by running
       after stupid and harmful passions and placing hope on
       foolish things.
Free us from making money our goal,
open our lives and hands to being generous,
remind us that we didn’t bring anything into the world, so we
       can’t take anything out of it. Amen.

Announcements

Today is the last day to bring school kits for Mennonite Central Committee. If you would still like to donate a kit they may be delivered to the Rockingham County Fairgrounds this weekend.

There are pie tins available for donating food items for the Relief Sale in the Fellowship Hall.

There are opportunities to serve at the Relief Sale in the chicken barbeque, food sales, and at the auction. Your help is appreciated!

Next Sunday we will be participating in World Communion Sunday.

There will be a carry-in fellowship meal following next Sunday’s morning service. Please bring a dish or two to share.

Start saving your fall vegetables to bring for Brunswick stew at our annual Fall Harvest Party, to be held October 27th at the Huyard ranch.
