O God, we pray for understanding and wisdom in living as
Jesus taught his disciples. We are antagonized by the power and
riches of this world and we are angered by injustices. Create in
us a hunger for righteousness and instill in us hearts that are
gentle, humble, merciful, and pure, that we may be a living testimony
of your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
