Treasure in heaven
Gathering
Our treasure is
Jesus,
the Son of God, the High Priest
who knows and understand us.
Let us approach God’s throne of grace with confidence
asking for mercy and grace to help us
today and in all times of need.
Offering
As servants of God, we are in charge of God’s household.
Let us use with care the rooms God has given us. Let us use
with care the time God has lent us. Let us use with care the
produce God has gathered for us. Let us use with care the
deeds God has listed for us. Let the records we manage and the
bills we pay, let all our giving and receiving speak our faith and
honor our Lord God Almighty.
Confessing/Reconciling
Leader: Good Teacher, what must we do to live?
Group 1: Will you teach us to number our days
so we may have wise hearts?
Group 2: Will you teach us to love as you do
so we will sing for joy each morning?
Group 1: Can we know the deeds you do for us, your servants,
and how you show your greatness to children?
Group 2: Will you help us understand your heavenly ways
and guide all the work of our hands?
Leader: Each day we seek you, Good Teacher.
We seek you and live. Amen.
