Where
I send you, you must go
Gathering
People: We come
because we long to know God.
Leader: Before we were formed, God knew us.
People: We come because we long to be called.
Leader: Before we were born, God set us apart for a calling.
People: We come knowing that we will be sent.
Leader: God’s words will come to life in our mouths,
and we will uproot and undo, build and plant.
Come, and prepare to be sent.
Offering
God of embarrassing generosity, just when we’ve drawn our
lines in the sand, there you are, tearing down our plans for
building fences between “us” and “them.” Without love, these
offerings are nothing. So as we release our money, we release
our desire to control how your kingdom comes. Help
Sending
Leader: Send us, Lord!
People: Into places we know,
where your love may startle and challenge.
Leader: Send us, Lord!
People: Into places we don’t know,
where your love may comfort and invite.
Leader: Send us, Lord!
All: We will go.
