Believe in your heart
Call
to Worship
Leader: As we gather in this place, let us be drawn into the
safety of the love of God.
With the psalmist, we proclaim:
All: You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide
in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord,
“My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”
Confessing/Reconciling
Provider God, we confess that we often forget that all we are
and all we have comes from you. We forget that we can trust
in you and rely on you in times of trial and temptation. Forgive
our weakness and forgetfulness. Help us to lean on your lifegiving
Word and to believe in your promise of reconciliation
and eternal love. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Amen.
Assurance: God says, “Whenever you cry out to me, I’ll
answer. I’ll be with you in troubling times. I’ll show you my
salvation.”
Sending
May we carry this promise of God with us this week;
Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honor them.
