You
have healed me
Praising/Adoring
Leader: God of the
high heavens, we bring you our heartfelt praise!
People 1: When we sat in our pit, covered in the ashes of our despair
and disease,
People 2: you brought us from the depths of our hell,
People 1: you placed our feet on high ground,
People 2: we became like mountains of strong endurance.
All: You have turned our mourning into dancing and clothed us
with joy. Our souls praise and glorify you!
Confession/Reconciling
All: We open our hearts to you. Breath of God, we are sick and
weary in our souls; we weep for your healing touch.
(silence)
Leader: Jesus Christ, Reconciling One, you infuse us with your life; our
deadened hearts of stone become hearts of flesh. Glory be to
you forever and ever! Amen.
Sending
Go now with Elijah and Jesus as your companions, out into the
world of suffering. Take with you hope and healing. Weep not! Let your
mourning be turned into dancing. Let your hearts be filled with gladness.
Give glory to the God of high heaven and earth, whose presence
reaches even into the depths of Sheol. You are called to new life. Go
now and bring this message to the world around you.
