Today we conclude our sermon series on hell and life after death. If you miss a Sunday, please find the sermons at mennochurch.com as each sermon will build upon the previous one.

Missionaries James and Melani Wenger join us today to share about their work with People International and Virginia Mennonite Missions. You may designate a portion of your offering to them by noting “Wenger fund” in the memo line of your check.

Staunton Mennonite Church will not be holding Sunday School through the months of June and July. Instead there will be a time of fellowship before the worship service from 10:00 – 10:25. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. There is a sign-up sheet on the church bulletin board for those wishing to provide refreshments.

People 1: When we sat in our pit, covered in the ashes of our despair and disease, People 2: you brought us from the depths of our hell, People 1: you placed our feet on high ground, People 2: we became like mountains of strong endurance. All: You have turned our mourning into dancing and clothed us with joy. Our souls praise and glorify you! Confession/Reconciling All: We open our hearts to you. Breath of God, we are sick and weary in our souls; we weep for your healing touch. (silence) Leader: Jesus Christ, Reconciling One, you infuse us with your life; our deadened hearts of stone become hearts of flesh. Glory be to you forever and ever! Amen. Sending Go now with Elijah and Jesus as your companions, out into the world of suffering. Take with you hope and healing. Weep not! Let your mourning be turned into dancing.
