Your
abundant mercy
Gathering
Leader: Loving
God, you call to us, to choose life and not death,
People: to love you and follow your paths.
Leader: Yet sometimes these ways look dangerous.
People: We are tempted to turn aside, and to choose the shortcut,
the easy way.
Leader: Help us to learn your ways, to dig deep roots of faith as
we trust your love and care.
Praying
O
God, we are thankful for the strength you give us, and that your
grace overflows. We ask for your abundant mercy to continue to
shower us so that we can draw toward you; you are the one who
shelters us with steadfast love. You are the one who searches without
ceasing; you and the heavens rejoice when the lost are found.
You are the immortal God, the one to whom all of the ages belong.
In your holy name. Amen.
Sending
Go in peace, knowing that there is much rejoicing over the lost
who are found.
Go with love, knowing that God shows abundant mercy and grace.
Go and serve, knowing that we are appointed for God’s service.
Go, giving honor and glory to God forever and ever.
