The annual Southern District Family Fun Day is planned for this afternoon from 4-7 at Waynesboro Mennonite. Come enjoy a bounce house, soccer, miniature “train” rides, and a fellowship meal. See Garlan for more details.

Shane Claiborne, best-selling author, activist and Co-Founder of Red Letter Christians, will speak on “Jubilee: The Bible’s Vision for a Just Economy,” Wednesday, Sept. 14, 7 p.m., at EMU’s Lehman Auditorium.

There will be a carry-in fellowship meal after church on September 25th. Please bring a dish or two to share.

There are pie pans available in the Fellowship Hall for those who would like to donate baked items for the Relief Sale. There are also flyers and posters available to distribute and post throughout the community.

Come run or walk at the 5K Race for Relief at the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale on October 1 at 8:30am. Proceeds go towards MCC. Sign up online at runwalkjog.com/relief.

Praying O God, we are thankful for the strength you give us, and that your grace overflows. We ask for your abundant mercy to continue to shower us so that we can draw toward you; you are the one who shelters us with steadfast love. You are the one who searches without ceasing; you and the heavens rejoice when the lost are found. You are the immortal God, the one to whom all of the ages belong. In your holy name. Amen.
