Light
has dawned
Gathering
Lord, you are our
light and our salvation.
The One who sets us free from fear,
the One who shelters us in times of trouble,
the One who lifts up our heads.
With joy we bring our songs to the Lord of our lives.
Confessing/Reconciling
Leader: Though we have been given a great light,
People: we have become comfortable with our darkness.
Leader: Though we have been called to follow,
People: we have chosen to stay where we are.
Leader: Though the kingdom of God comes near,
People: we keep our distance.
Leader: We are a people who have seen the light.
In the light we will walk,
in the light we will sing,
in the light we will live,
in the light we will stay.
Sending
Rising up from our comfortable place,
we will walk in the light we received.
Responding to God’s gift of revelation,
we will put our faithfulness in motion.
